Advertising is a very broad subject however in the limited space available we will cover a couple of aspects that can help you set your business aside from your competitors.

First and foremost the HEADLINE. Your headline is at least 75% of your advertisement value. In short the purpose of the headline is to encourage the reader to read on. Your business name does not serve that purpose so an enticing headline is required, in size around 25% of the space available.

Choose words to include from the following – Free – Announcing – Introducing New – Why – Wanted - A specific number (i.e. 7)

The body of the advert should:

• Relate the benefits to the reader
• Use a graphic or picture
• Create subheads for easy scanning
• Give a call to action
• Ensure the contact details are clear
• Include a coupon for response
• Use testimonials.

Measure the results to check its effectiveness.
